Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park has become one of the hottest attractions in the city. In fact, the number of people visiting this venue has been doubling each year since it opened its doors to customers in 2013. But what makes this trampoline park so special? Well, beyond the fun attractions and entertainment facilities, it’s also a great place to get fit and have fun at the same time!
An Amazing Experience
Urban Air has tons of features that will get you fit. Here are a few activities you can do at Urban Air that will challenge your body: trampolines, zip lines, rock walls, basketball courts, and climbing walls. Urban Air is a great place for families with kids or groups of friends to have fun and get some exercise in at their local adventure park. If you’re looking for some great entertainment for your family’s next vacation or just want something new to add onto your current fitness routine, try out Urban Air!
Urban Air was founded by Tom Purcell in 2009. The park is one of only seven parks of its kind in North America, with two locations: Minneapolis, Minnesota; St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Purcell was inspired after taking his children to an indoor trampoline park (Sky Zone) in Boston. In addition to trampolines and a ninja-course obstacle course, Urban Air also has rock-climbing walls. Since opening up shop four years ago, it’s become a popular activity for both kids and adults alike looking for an entertaining way to exercise while having fun—not necessarily in that order.
Urban Air Trampoline Park is located near Union Station in downtown Chicago, but can also be easily accessed by public transportation. The CTA Red Line stops at Union Station, as does a plethora of buses. Getting there by car isn’t too difficult either; parking is available in any of several nearby garages or lots. If you are worried about driving in downtown Chicago, don’t be—there is a lot of readily available parking. Before venturing into downtown on your own, ask one of our attendants how to get there from our location with Google Maps or Waze (free!) on your smartphone. It’s easy! You will find that traffic is much lighter than it used to be on weekends, since work has become increasingly flexible for Chicagoan’s.
Urban Air is an expensive activity, but like many things in life it’s all about value. Urban Air charges $15 for a basic jump pass (for one hour) and will let you come back as many times as you want within that hour; if you stay for an additional hour, then your next jump pass will be $12. You can also purchase a punch card that entitles you to 12 jumps; each time you use it, it costs $11. If you have a group of five or more people who want to get active together and go trampolining (note: guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult), then pre-booking online is your best bet.
Urban Air is open 7 days a week, 363 days a year. Hours vary by season and location. Please call for details. In general, Urban Air hours are 10am-9pm (regular hours). During School Breaks (summer, winter & spring break) hours vary by location and weekday/weekend. Weekend hours tend to be longer than weekdays during school breaks. Weekday hours are typically shorter than weekend in all locations with regular business hours being 11am-8pm on weekdays; weekends may vary. Please call for specific details about Urban Air at your local location as times can change slightly from time to time due to weather or other factors.
